I am currently just looking through the site. It looks great. Well I'll tell you a little about myself. I was diagnosed with Crohn's two years ago. But began having trouble years before that it was not diagnosed.
I am currently not on any meds becuase I took myself off all meds and going the herbal and diet way. I just found myself very frastruted with the disease and doctors. I had a bowel resection in 2006. I have been on steriods, pentasa, 6MP.
I am not loosing alot of weight anymore. But I am finding myself to be bloated, inflamed, in pain and experiencing alot of fatigue. I am not sure if I am making the right choices with the whole herbal thing but I am willing to try anything at this point.
My gastro-doc told me that I have Moderate/Servere Crohns' and need to learn to deal with the pain. I refuse to let that be the answer to my life.
I have recieved several opionions from other docs, but they always just want to place me on meds before even listening to anything I have to say. I have asked about Ramicade and other treatments but they all say I am not a candidate for this drug. It was stated to me that if I do not get on meds then I will have another surgery within the next year.
Does anyone have any advice?
