I have had Crohn's disease for at least 14 yrs. The doctors originally did not put me on any medications at that time. Now, I am having severely active Crohn's to the point of being debilitating. My doc wants to put me on Remicade. I am aware of some of the side effects, but I want to know what I might expect from the actual infusion. Will it make me sick? Will it hurt more than a normal IV? I really don't want to lose my job from losing to many days from being sick from a med I might need.
Can anyone share their experience with starting Remicade and what it feels like and the immediate effects of the infusion?
